Landscaping VR

Git repository: https://github.com/jmschoen/landscaping-vr

This is a virtual reality game I created in Unity for my final Honors Thesis. In this project I looked into what features I could create using the unique input and perspective VR provides. In this case, I used the motion controllers to allow finite placement of land masses, and took advantage of the VR perspective to shrink the player down, so they could see what their creation looks like in a “life-like” perspective.

Key Features:

  • Unity C#
  • Developed for VR devices with motion controllers

Digigame

This is a virtual reality game I created in Unity. The project was to test the capabilities of virtual reality and how it could benefit the Digital Corps at Ball State University. It includes three worlds: Western world, Underwater world, and Space world.

Key Features:

  • Unity C#
  • Developed for VR devices with motion controllers

The main site tracked tasks for the students to complete while the admin panel allowed the Career Center to monitor student progress and verify completions.

Key Features:

  • ReactJS for frontend development
  • HTML and CSS with SASS for personalized styling
  • PHP for backend development
  • MySQL for database creation

  • PHP for backend development
